Digital B2B2C Platform with Added Value for Fans and Partners
Eintracht Frankfurt is a vibrant and emotional touch point in the lives of many people residing in the Rhine-Main region. The Bundesliga club is actively looking for solutions to generate new digital revenue. By developing the B2B2C platform “mainaqila,” Eintracht Frankfurt has worked with UNITY to create its own digital ecosystem which enables interaction with fans beyond just stadium attendance. The mainaqila platform connects both fans and residents in the Rhine-Main region with renowned regional and international partners. It offers users added value in their everyday lives in the region. UNITY first supported the transformation of Eintracht Frankfurt’s IT landscape with agile and traditional project management to create the technical integration capability for the new business and platform. UNITY also took over parts of the project management of the redevelopment of EintrachtTech’s mainaqila platform. It functioned as the link between the business and IT departments, and other service providers by coordinating the collaboration. For the implementation, the UNITY team took on the role of enterprise & solution architects and also supported the product owners in their work. Through their technical expertise in IT, software and data architecture, as well as their experience in managing software development teams, the UNITY consultants played a significant role in influencing and enabling the go-live of the platform’s website and app. Both solutions integrate single sign-on, ticketing, merchandising, soccer school, editorial content, match center, partner offers and content. This provides Eintracht Frankfurt’s partners and sponsors with new, digital, and high-profile business models and advertising opportunities.
